Yuri’s Night Los Angeles

Presented in partnership with Griffith Observatory Foundation, Yuri's Night Los Angeles will include a full day of free space-themed activities for all ages starting at 12:00 noon.

All-day Experiences

We’re thrilled to welcome Yuri’s Night Los Angeles back to Griffith Observatory.

Presented in partnership with Griffith Observatory Foundation, Yuri’s Night Los Angeles 2026 will be an all-day celebration (12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., PDT) of the first human spaceflight. The day will feature astronaut talks, interactive exhibits, science demonstrations, and presentations.

General admission is free and open to all ages.

A limited-capacity featured program begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available for $275 per person and include complimentary parking and the following

  • Keynote talks by NASA ISS astronaut Ron Garan and astronaut Jannicke Mikkelsen
  • Presentation of the Spirit of Yuri’s Night Award
  • Appearances by additional special guests, including Frank White, author of The Overview Effect

Keynote Speakers

  • NASA Astronaut Ron Garan
    Ron is a veteran of two space missions and former International Space Station flight engineer. Listen as he reflects on being aboard the ISS during the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s historic flight.
  • Astronaut Jannicke Mikkelsen
    Jannicke is a Norwegian cinematographer, director, and Fram2 astronaut. Watch her share and discuss the footage she shot from the first crewed mission to orbit over Earth’s North and South Poles.
